I like Donald Glover, and I like Childish Gambino, but it’s like saying you like two entirely different people. Donald is Community and comedy, Gambino is brutally honest and melancholy. “3005” is the first song to be released in follow up to his 2012 release Camp and it’s good, not incredible, but solid. Glover has described it as his most honest song to date, which surprised me seeing as Camp felt like one long confession, which is why it was so good, if not hard to listen to in places. Well Gambino, you have intrigued me again, I look forward to the rest.
