Apartheid is Lea Lea‘s second single from her self titled debut album, released last month. Filled with prowling, contentious and commanding lyricism, moved along by one hell of a bass line, Apartheid has all the makings of a massive drum & bass tune. It’s punchiness is reminiscent of Santigold, or even MIA, especially in it’s outspoken but attractive nature. Described as the “new queen of dark electronic soul,” Lea Lea‘s music definitely feels edgy and a little dangerous, making it alluring and seductive listening.
