Dev Hyne’s has released a video as part of his new single & remix EP for Uncle ACE. The video shows multiple shots of Ilford, East London, querying if where you grow up influences who you become. It’s a lovely snapshot of Hynes early life, but is equally well contrasted with the sentiment behind the original; Uncle Ace is a reference to “Uncle Ace’s house,” the name homeless LGBT youth in New York City gave to the ACE subway line, a very different kind of environment to the one Hyne’s reveals in the video.
